The ICARE final conference was held in Bergamo (IT) on the 21st of March 2013. After two years of common work, all partners presented project outcomes and results, and launched the debate among ECVET specialists, trainers, decision makers, professionals, and representatives of the social partners and the labour market on ICARE effectiveness and sustainability (with particular regard to Italy).
Waiting for the ICARE Project Final Conference
The ICARE Final Conference will be held in Bergamo (IT) on the next 21st of March in Papa Giovanni XXIII Conference Centre. During the event, all project partners, experts in the field of ECVET and vocational training, local authorities and practitioners will discuss project achievements and possible applications of the model in the field of VET and labour market services.

It mainly focuses on the results of the national workshops organised in Romania, Germany and Italy between November and December last year. Two additional dissemination events will be still organised in January: the national workshop in Poland, and an additional dissemination event which will be held in Rome during a meeting of the national board of Federsolidarietà. The ICARE project is now finalising a crucial phase for the development of the ECVET transfer model. After having developed the matrices for all professional qualifications and developed the tests for all of them, the testing phase is coming to an end.

The ICARE project entered its second year of activity and it is now in a crucial phase for the development of the model. After having developed the matrices for all professional qualifications and having settled down the methodology for assigning ECVET points, the technical team developed the tests for the Care Operator and the Socio-Assistance Assistant, which are currently piloted.

The aim of this newsletter is the one of updating and reporting on the first phase of project operational development and its main results: outputs relating to this working phase, now available on our website, events and news from the ICARE and ECVET world.

The first issue of the ICARE Newsletter aims to present project objectives and planned activities and to inform potential stakeholders and final users of the expected benefits.
A newsletter will be issued each four months and it will provide the opportunity to follow project progress as well as have an insight in its outcomes and results.
