The National Reference Points for vocational qualifications

In each country (European Union, European Economic Area and soon in candidate countries), a National Reference Point gives access to information on vocational qualifications. All National Reference Points are part of a network. The main functions of a National Reference Point:
- serves as a first point of contact for questions relating to national qualifications, certificates and Certificate Supplements;
- provides access to relevant information or serve as a point of contact with national bodies which hold the information;
- acts as a national partner in the European network of National Reference Points [Italy] [Germany] [Romania]

National Europass Centres
The National Europass Centres were set up following the approval of Decision 2241/2004/EC of the European Parliament and the Council, establishing a single EU framework for the transparency of qualifications and competences. They are part of an European network of National Europass Centres coordinated by the DG for Education and Culture of the European Commission, with the support of CEDEFOP.
